Mapping a Strategic Research Agenda for Timely Access to Quality Health Care

The summary of an invitational workshop on mapping a strategic research agenda for timely access to quality health care is now available. This workshop was held in December 2005 in Winnipeg and brought together high-level researchers and decision makers to begin to discuss a five-year strategic research and knowledge translation agenda for this topic.

Timely access to quality care for all is one of the priority theme areas for health services and policy research identified through the national Listening for Direction (LfD) II consultations. These themes now guide strategic investments for IHSPR and other LfD partners. This document may therefore provide useful guidance for those wishing to apply for IHSPR funding through strategic RFAs and open competitions that specifically target this theme area.
