Message of Invitation
As the Scientific Director of the Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health (ICRH) at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, together with our Institute Advisory Board, we would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you, your colleague or your trainees to the 2007 ICRH Leadership in Science: A Forum for Trainees and New Investigators.”
ICRH aims for international excellence, and maintains a strong commitment in promoting broad leadership through its research programs and initiatives. We aim to attract new, bright, creative research talent to our community. We also need to make sure that our young researchers can have the leadership skills to foster innovation and excellence in the field of their chosen endeavour, and to influence society and fellow Canadians on the importance of health research and healthy behaviours.
The purpose of the Leadership in Science Forum is to bring trainees and new investigators (researchers with up to 10 years of experience from first Faculty appointment) together to (1) develop leadership skills (2) learn and share exciting new and emerging research findings in the area of circulatory and respiratory health, (3) succeed as a researcher in this day and age, and (4) network with colleagues and mentors.
ICRH Leadership Forum will take place at the Four Seasons hotel in Toronto, on June 5th and 6th, 2007.
Please register as soon as possible as space is limited.
