Results of the "Knowledge to Action (KTA), (Local Research-User Interaction)" January 2008 Competition

CIHR's Knowledge Translation (KT) Portfolio is pleased to announce the results of the competition (see table below) under the strategic initiative "Knowledge to Action (KTA), (Local Research-User Interaction)".

This Request for Applications (RFA) constitutes a long-term commitment to promote and sustain linkages between the generation of new knowledge and its application, to meet the needs of decision maker(s)/community partner(s). The purpose of this RFA is to build on the successes of KTA.

The specific objectives of this initiative are:

• Accelerate the flow of knowledge to strengthen Canada's health care system and/or improve the health of Canadians
• Support community infrastructure and partnerships; support the development of links between research and practice, and facilitate communication among the health research, policy and practice communities operating in the same locality or region
• Support the implementation and evaluation of novel research and KT approaches
• Help strengthen common ground between the interests and expertise of the research community and the needs of the local health system
