• CIHR processes and reviews each application (see Peer Review).
• Approved applications that have been flagged for Special Attention are withheld as "pending"; the applicant is notified if further information is required.
• Once the Research and Knowledge Translation Committee (RKTC) has approved funding, all applicants are sent a Notice of Decision indicating whether or not their proposal was approved, and if approved, with what budget.
• Information about applicants who are successful in obtaining funding from CIHR is posted in Funding Decisions on or around the Application Notice of Decision date identified in the Funding Opportunity Details for each funding opportunity.
