Message from Dr. Rémi Quirion about INMHA's Transition

Hi everyone,

After much reflection, I decided that after almost 8 years as Scientific Director (SD) of CIHR-Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction (INMHA), it was time for me to move on. Being the inaugural SD has been an exceptional experience. It was a pleasure for me to work with all of you, especially members of the Institute Advisory Board and the INMHA team.

I learned a lot from all of you, from trainees to established scientists, from VHOs and NGOs to politicians. Support from the Canadian public and media has also been extremely rewarding for me and the team. That being said, the time has now come for me to take up new challenges.

I most sincerely wish that many of you will consider applying for the position of SD of INMHA. I am confident that the appointed leader will be able to bring INMHA to an unsurpassed level of excellence, in partnership with colleagues at CIHR and all its stakeholders
