Clarified Signature and Application Requirements
(2008-12-18) CIHR has made the following changes for the December 2008 launch of Funding Opportunities:
- Removed the requirement for applicants to submit the "Funding Details" and "Funding Summaries" attachments with the Common CV. CIHR will be requesting this information at a later date for those applications that are funded.
- Removed the requirement for applicants to sign the Common CV.
- Updated instructions in the "How To Apply" section of the Funding Opportunity descriptions. They should be followed closely when applying for CIHR funding.
- Updated the sections titled "Required Signatures on Application Forms" and the "Meaning of Signatures on Application Forms" of the CIHR Grants and Awards Guide to clarify the signature requirements.
- Updated its application forms with regard to Environmental Impact. To facilitate the identification of proposals that may have potential impacts on the environment and that may require a screening under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, CIHR has added a new question in its application forms.
