Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grant: Partnerships for Health System Improvement

Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grants are intended to provide support for meetings, planning and/or dissemination activities consistent with the mandate of CIHR and relevant to CIHR Institutes, Initiatives, or Branches.

CIHR recognizes that strong partnerships between researchers and decision makers form the foundation of the PHSI program. CIHR also recognizes that these partnerships take time to build, and must be promoted and fostered in order to become meaningful and productive. The new PHSI development funds were conceived with this in mind.

To this end, the purpose of this MPD funding opportunity is to provide funds to support researchers in developing collaborations/partnerships with decision makers and to support the initial planning and discussions of a research project, in preparation for the annual PHSI competition. It is expected that only those researchers and/or decision makers interested in applying to the PHSI program will submit an application for the MPD PHSI Development Funds.

A total of 35 applications were received, 29 were eligible for funding and were approved for funding.
