The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is pleased to announce the results of the Needs, Gaps and Opportunities Assessments in Health Services and Policy competition.Funding Opportunity Summary
The objectives of the Needs, Gaps and Opportunities Assessments in Health Services and Policy were to:
- To conduct an environmental scan of current and planned research activity and capacity in Canada (and internationally as appropriate to the internationally-focused NGOAs), related to one of the identified priority research;
- To facilitate a participatory consultation process involving stakeholders, concerning the needs, gaps and opportunities related to both research activity and capacity;
- To develop, collaboratively with stakeholders across the country, a prioritized list of these research and capacity needs/gaps/opportunities using explicit prioritization criteria.
