The objectives of "Operating Grant: Genetics (Ethics, Law and Society)" were to:
- To stimulate and promote single-discipline and interdisciplinary research by investigators alone or collaboratively, in one or more of four specified areas (identified below). These areas address work on the ethical, legal and social aspects of genetics (particular population-based genetics and genetic epidemiology); and
- To determine the best direction for future research, policy and practice in one or more of these four specified areas.
