Usability Testing: Funding Opportunities Database (FOD) - Call for Volunteers

(2009-03-16) The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has made a number of developments to standardize and improve the functionality around presenting CIHR's funding opportunities to the research community. In 2007, as a response to requests to offer more searching and browsing capabilities, CIHR developed and launched a Funding Opportunities Database.

In support of CIHR's ongoing effort towards continuous improvement of online service delivery, CIHR is conducting usability testing of its Funding Opportunities Database on the Web.

We need people who can offer one hour of their time to participate. We will be looking for a diversity of age groups, education, location, gender, and language, as well as a mix of experience levels with CIHR, its website, and the Web in general.

You need to have a broadband connection, a Windows PC, and a working knowledge of the Web. You don't have to have special knowledge about CIHR websites.

The testing will be conducted in March. Testing timeslots can be arranged during the day-time, evening or weekends. Contact Karin Bell at 613-565-3501 or karin.bell@cihr-irsc.gc.ca if you are interested, and she will set up a date and time that is convenient for you.

Thank you for your efforts to help us improve the usability of the CIHR Funding Opportunities Database.
