The objectives of the IG Catalyst Grant program are to:
- Promote the engagement of Canadian investigators in research projects to advance research tools and techniques in a broad sense, where invention, application and development, rather than discovery, is expected to be the essence of those projects
- Support high-risk, high-benefit health research that has the potential for high impact
