It is with pleasure that I announce the launch of web- based consultations on CIHR's draft strategic plan.

The draft plan is designed to position Canada and CIHR as an international leader in health research. It sets out proposed key directions and priorities for the next five years that respond to scientific opportunities and the health needs of Canadians. I believe the draft plan will encourage greater innovation and collaboration amongst Canada's health researchers and with partners in the public and private sectors in Canada and abroad.

I would ask that you take the time to review the draft plan and provide us with your feedback by filling in the web-survey. Please note that the online consultations will end on June 12. Your input is integral to the success of the final strategic plan. After the consultation phase, we will post a summary report on the feedback received.
