(2009-06-18) I am pleased to announce the publication of: "Knowledge Translation in Health Care: Moving from Evidence to Practice". I am a co-editor of the book, along with Sharon Straus from the University of Toronto and Jacqueline Tetroe from
CIHR. The book is a compilation of chapters written by authors who are experts in different components of the KT process. It aims to increase knowledge and understanding of KT, and it provides examples on how KT models can be used to close the gap between evidence and action. "Knowledge Translation in Health Care" introduces numerous emerging topics with important implications for health policy makers, researchers, managers, clinicians and trainees. We plan to post PowerPoint presentations prepared by the authors of each chapter, which will be available in both official languages and can be freely used as enhanced learning resources. For more information on the handbook, please refer to the
Wiley-Blackwell website or
Amazon.ca.
Any royalties from the book will go into a CIHR fund to support KT Trainees.
