The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is pleased to announce the results of the Operating Grant: Maternal and Child Health competition.Funding Opportunity Summary
The objectives of the funding opportunity "Operating Grant: Maternal and Child Health" were to:
- to address maternal and child health issues within IHDCYH's priority areas;
- to conduct analysis of anonymized data in accordance with appropriate ethics and privacy principles required by CIHR and the data custodian;
- to explore other types of data (social services, education, justice) that could provide cross-sectoral health impacts;
- to identify research questions that take into account the context in which the data are being collected;
- to support research that will inform and engage decision makers; and
- to promote effective knowledge translation through continuous and sustained interactions between researchers and end-users of the research.
Funding Competition Summary
A total of 23 applications were received of which 12 were approved for funding.
