Marlene Reimer Brain Star of the Year award
Bahareh Ajami from the University of British Columbia is the recipient of the 2008 Marlene Reimer Brain Star of the Year award. Bahareh received the award for an article published in the Nature Neuroscience journal. The paper was presented to the Canadian Association of Neuroscience in Vancouver, British Columbia in May of 2009. Bahareh was a Brain Star awardee of 2008.

Marlene Reimer was an inaugural member of INMHA advisory board, the first chair of its focus group on training and education and a strong supporter of the Brain Star Award. She unfortunately passed away in 2005.
