Funding Opportunity Summary

The objective of the funding opportunity "Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grant: Genetics (Spring 2009 Competition)" was to:

• provide partial support for workshops and scientific symposia held in Canada, which fall under the IG mandate. The IG's mandate is to support research on the human and model genomes and on all aspects of genetics, basic biochemistry and cell biology related to health and disease, including the translation of knowledge into health policy and practice, and the societal implications of genetic discoveries.

A total of seven applications were received of which six were approved for funding.
