The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is pleased to announce that it will support the National Council on Ethics in Human Research to further its work on delivery of educational activities in 2009-2010, in the form of a Directed Grant.

Funding Opportunity Summary

The objectives of the funding are to:

  • support highly specialized research and knowledge translation activities;
  • advance the protection and well being of human participants in research; and
  • foster high ethical standards for the conduct of research involving humans, doing so through educational activities, in providing training in research ethics, evaluating ethics functions, offering advice on research ethics issues and liaising with actors involved in research.
