The objectives of the funding opportunity "Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grant: Health Research Involving Aboriginal People (Fall 2009 Competition) "were:
- To address ethical issues related to health research projects involving Aboriginal communities; and
- To support the implementation of the CIHR Guidelines for Health Research Involving Aboriginal People by helping to build relationships between health researchers and Aboriginal communities in order to be better able to draft full Research Agreements to support subsequent research proposals.
