The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is pleased to announce the results of the Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grant: Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (Fall 2009 Competition) competition.Funding Opportunity Summary
Under the framework of the CIHR Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grants program, the Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis will provide partial support for workshops and scientific symposia held in Canada, or for Canadian researchers to participate in international workshops and/or scientific symposia that fall under the IMHA's mandate. IMHA supports research to enhance active living, mobility and movement, and oral health; and addresses causes, prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, support systems, and palliation for a wide range of conditions related to bones, joints, muscles, connective tissue, skin and teeth.
To achieve its vision, IMHA focuses on three strategic research priorities. The specific objectives of this funding opportunity, announced through the Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grant program, should target one of the strategic areas of:
- Physical Activity, Mobility and Health
- Tissue Injury, Repair and Replacement
- Pain, Disability and Chronic Disease
