- Funding opportunity: International Collaborative Indigenous Health Research Partnership on Chronic Disease between New Zealand, Australia and Canada ** Deadline for registration : April 10, 2009 **
The CIHR-Institute of Aboriginal Peoples' Health would like to highlight an important funding opportunity to partner with researchers in Aboriginal Health in Australia and New Zealand. Chronic disease was selected as the current theme for the research to be funded because of the significant impact of diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes on morbidity and mortality in Indigenous populations. The deadline for Registration is April 10. Letters of Intent are due May 10. After evaluation of the Letters of Intent, invited Researchers will be awarded a development Grant and invited to submit a full application. The maximum amount awarded for a single grant is $250,000 per annum for up to 5 years. CIHR will fund up to 4 Collaborative Research Projects.
