CIHR Celebrates its 10th Anniversary on the Hill
On June 10th, the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Peter Milliken hosted a well attended breakfast for Parliamentarians and members of the media, representatives from partner and stakeholder organizations to celebrate CIHR's 10th anniversary.The Breakfast on the Hill is part of a series of events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. CIHR President Dr. Alain Beaudet introduced the guest speaker, Dr. Cal Stiller, who outlined how important research investment to help fight illnesses and diseases that afflict Canadians. There was an informative and active question and answer session afterwards about Alzheimer research in Canada.
