Signing of an important agreement for an international joint health research initiative
Representatives from leading Chinese and Canadian health research funding agencies met to renew a five-year agreement to support a major joint health research initiative. This partnership program brings together teams of leading Canadian and Chinese health researchers to work on research themes of critical importance such as neurosciences, aging, infection and immunity and the cardiovascular system.Dr. Alain Beaudet, President, Canadian Institutes of Health Research and Dr. SHEN Yan, Vice-President, National Natural Sciences Foundation of China signed the agreement.
