Millions of Canadians suffer from digestive disorders every year, but it is not the kind of thing we talk about at cocktail parties. In 2000, digestive disorders cost over $18 billion annually in health care costs and lost productivity. Canada has the highest rates of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) in the world – why is that? Is it in our genes, the environment, microbes, or is it the interaction among them? Join us to hear what the experts have to say and share your thoughts.
This free event is presented by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes and Institute of Infection and Immunity.
