Changes to CIHR’s Open Suite of Programs and Enhancements to the Peer Review Process

In August 2012, CIHR released an analysis of the feedback received on the Design Discussion Document, which described the proposed reforms to Open Suite of Programs and peer review process. The feedback has been used to identify strengths of the design and areas that required further discussion. Discussions with members of the research community and partners have helped CIHR refine the design and implementation plan. CIHR is proud to announce the release of Designing for the Future: The New Open Suite of Programs and Peer Review Process. This document describes the architecture and the mechanics of the new Open Suite of Programs and peer review process and outlines the multi-year transition plan.
CIHR will continue to keep the research community and partners engaged as we move forward with the implementation of the changes.
