CIHR Café ScientifiqueHealthy eating: How to make healthy decisions for you and your family

Each time you prepare a meal or make a trip to the grocery store, the same difficult questions stare you in the face: How can you include more fruits and veggies in your family's diet? Should you be eating more of that super-nutrient you just heard about on the news? What does the information on the nutrition label really mean, anyway?

It can be difficult to sort fact from fiction as you try to make healthy decisions for yourself and your family. From the internet to TV advertisements to food packaging, we are exposed to many, often conflicting, health claims. With obesity on the rise in Canada, it's more important than ever to talk about what it actually means to have a healthy, balanced diet.

Join us for an informal discussion with three of Canada's leading nutrition experts. This free event is hosted by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and its Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes. Space is limited. Presentations will be in French only.
