Ongoing Engagement Process for the Reforms of Open Programs and Peer Review

CIHR has had the opportunity to hear from thousands of members of the research community from across the country including researchers, peer reviewers, institution administrators, professional associations and partners.

Current Engagement Activities

CIHR will continue to engage with the research community and partners to discuss the new design and next steps as we implement the changes. Previous Engagement Activities

Following the release of the CIHR Design Discussion Document: Proposed Changes to CIHR's Open Suite of Programs and Enhancements to the Peer Review Process, the community has provided CIHR with thoughtful feedback and insightful suggestions. Comments were provided to CIHR through a number of mechanisms including:

• Participation in a web based discussion forum
• Submission of 513 on-line feedback forms
• Written feedback provided through hundreds of emails and letters
• Discussions with over 80 institutions, partners and associations
