CIHR Café ScientifiqueUnder Pressure: How are the challenges of school and success affecting your physical and mental health?

Thursday, March 28th, 2013, 1 p.m.
École secondaire Mont-Bleu
389, boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau

School can be a very stressful time in your life. Your teachers are hassling you about school work. You feel like your peers are judging you. And your parents are on your case about pretty much everything. All the while, you are trying to make important decisions about what your life will look like after graduation. What does all this mean for your health? How can factors like bullying, relationship issues, and drugs and alcohol add to the problem? And how can you prepare yourself for the added responsibilities you’ll face after high school?

Join us for an open and honest discussion about your health. Health experts will be on hand to answer questions and share their insights and experiences. This free event is presented by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. All presentations will be in French.
