The next application deadline is May 27th, 2013.
CIHR Café Scientifique
CIHR launched its Café Scientifique program as an outreach initiative that would provide answers to questions of popular interest to the general public. CIHR Cafés are typically held in a café, a pub or a restaurant, and involve a panel of experts who specialize in the topic at hand. The primary point of these events is accessibility: to be a member of the audience, you don't have to have a science degree. The informal conversations about a particular health subject may provide answers to any questions that are on the minds of Canada's general population. The maximum amount awarded for a café is $3,000. The applications deadline is May 24th, 2013.
