CIHR and NSERC continue support for collaborative health research
(2016-02-24) CIHR and NSERC have signed a new memorandum of understanding that will support the Collaborative Health Research Projects initiative for the next five years.
Through the CHRP initiative, strong connections between health researchers and other scientists and engineers have been achieved and a strong community has emerged at the intersection of our mandates. The agencies will collaborate to permit this existing community to continue bridging the gap between discovery and innovation through the advancement of interdisciplinary research.
CIHR will continue to provide administrative support for the delivery of the CHRP initiative, in collaboration with NSERC, to ensure its success. The funding level will remain consistent with the amount identified in the previous MOU. The launch date for the 2016-17 competition will be announced in the coming weeks.
