Dr. Anne Martin-Matthews to serve as Acting Vice-President, Research, Knowledge Translation, and Ethics of CIHR

Dear colleagues,

I am delighted to announce that Dr. Anne Martin-Matthews has agreed to serve as Acting Vice-President, Research, Knowledge Translation, and Ethics of CIHR. Dr. Martin-Matthews will begin her term in early May and serve in this interim role until the Acting or new President of CIHR finds a permanent replacement to fill the position.

Dr. Martin-Matthews was the Scientific Director of the CIHR Institute of Aging from 2004–2011. She is currently a professor and researcher at the University of British Columbia specializing in aging and lifecourse; health and society; health and social care services; and the intersections of formal and informal care.

I am extremely grateful to Dr. Martin-Matthews for taking on this important role and look forward to working with her again in the months ahead.
