Partner Linkage Tool for the Operating Grants for Knowledge Mobilization in Diabetes Prevention and Treatment

Overview

The Operating Grants for Knowledge Mobilization in Diabetes Prevention and Treatment provides researchers and knowledge users across Canada with the opportunity to form partnerships to enhance knowledge mobilization in the field of diabetes, focusing on evidence integration into health services, programs, and policies.

Objectives

• Increase and enhance bi-directional mobilization of knowledge and integration of evidence into policies and practices related to diabetes prevention, remission, screening, diagnosis, management, treatment, and delivery of care for all types of diabetes as well as screening and prevention of diabetes complications.
• Support researchers and knowledge users in the development and implementation of a knowledge mobilization plan.
• Facilitate uptake of evidence to improve the lives of people at risk of or living with diabetes in Canada.

Funding pools:

• General Pool
• Territorial Regional Pool (projects focused on the Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut)
• Atlantic Regional Pool (projects focused on the New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island)

To achieve the objectives of the Operating Grants for Knowledge Mobilization in Diabetes Prevention and Treatment, strong connections must be made between researchers and knowledge user communities. One of the ways to facilitate the development of such connections is through this Partner Linkage Tool. This Partner Linkage Tool is meant to facilitate connections and collaborations between independent researchers, and knowledge users which include healthcare providers, policy and decision makers, and non-governmental organizations with a research and/or knowledge translation mandate. For example, researchers could indicate to knowledge users their interest in conducting a diabetes prevention-focused KM project or knowledge users could indicate to researchers their interest in participating in a diabetes KM implementation project.

The table below shows profiles submitted by parties interested in collaborating on an application for the Operating Grants for Knowledge Mobilization in Diabetes Prevention and Treatment. Important points:
