IGH Strategic priorities

In 2018, the Institute of Gender and Health (IGH) began executing a new five-year strategic plan titled, Science is Better with Sex and Gender. The plan builds on the three strategic directions outlined in our previous Strategic Plan, developed collaboratively with our Institute Advisory Board and stakeholder communities:

  1. INTEGRATION: transforming the health research ecosystem to foster the integration of sex and gender in science.
  2. INNOVATION: promoting innovative methods, new research approaches and discoveries in the field of sex and gender science.
  3. IMPACT: transforming health outcomes by ensuring knowledge generated by our community is translated into improved health for everybody.

Our plan includes 10 goals that directly align with these strategic directions. Our goals drive all aspects of our work and are central to operational planning and performance measurement at IGH.
